An Oklahoma Christian mother Jessica Eaves confronts thief who stole her wallet, and offers to pay for his groceries instead of calling the police

Hopefully his life was changed by this Christian act.

Daily Mailreports a Christian mother of four who was recently pick-pocketed at her local grocery store, appealed to God instead of the police to get her wallet back.

Jessica Eaves was shopping at a grocery store in Guthrie, Oklahoma earlier this month when she noticed her wallet was missing.

Mrs Eaves knew who the thief was, since only one person passed by her in the store.

She spotted him a few aisles away but before calling the cops or alerting a store employee, she was reminded of a passage from the bible. In addition to being a full-time college student, Mrs. Eaves is also the leader of the outreach team at the First Christian Church of Guthrie.

'As I saw him, a scripture came to me from Luke, which basically says "If someone should take your cloak, you should give them your shirt as well,"' she told the Huffington Post

So she decided to confront the man, and give him one of two options.
She walked up to him and said: 'I think you have something of mine. I'm gonna give you a choice. You can either give me my wallet and I'll forgive you right now, and I'll even take you to the front and pay for your groceries...' - or she would call the police.

He immediately stuck his hand into his hoodie pocket and handed over the wallet. She says he apologized to her about 20 times on the way to the checkout stand.

A fine reminder of what being Christian is all about.  God bless Jessica AND the thief.
