Video: Rep. Tom Cotton Slams AWOL Obama on mishandling Benghazi: “A Complete Failure of Leadership”

The fallout of President Obama’s dereliction of duty concerning the Benghazi attack on Sept 11 which led to the killing of four Americans including a U.S. ambassador is only getting worse!

Freshman Rep. Tom Cotton (R-AR), a former captain in the Army, slammed President Obama today for going AWOL as US personnel were being slaughtered in Benghazi. Cotton obliterated the president on his actions as the Benghazi consulate burned on 9-11.

It’s not just shocking, it’s outrageous as well. And, it shows his lack of preparation to be Commander in Chief and to lead troops when they’re in combat. At Fort Benning where I spent a year you learn the eight step troop leading procedures. Step eight, the final step, is not issue an order. Step seven is issue the order. Step eight, which is the most important step, is supervise. He said in September that “I issued a directive to take whatever steps are necessary to protect our troops and our assets.” And, then as Bill said he never again followed up. He never again asked is my directive being executed? That is the essence of leadership and this is a complete failure of leadership.
