As usual
President Obama is blurring the facts.
The truth is there are plenty of Democrats in states where the second amendment
is very important who also won’t vote for this ridiculous gun law that bans
scary looking guns without considering their actual firepower.
President
Obama said that gun control reforms may not happen because of Republican
congressmen who take the conservative views of their specific constituents
rather than listening to public opinion.
He
specifically called out Republicans whose districts have been specially shaped
to keep like-minds in and effectively secures they won’t be challenged
for their seat in Congress.
‘The House
Republican majority is made up mostly of members who are in sharply
gerrymandered districts that are very safely Republican and may not feel
compelled to pay attention to broad-based public opinion, because what they're
really concerned about is the opinions of their specific Republican constituencies,’
the President said.
