Depraved in more ways than one.Daily Mail reports a baby apparently found abandoned at a gas station was in fact the grandchild of the woman who claimed to have found it, it emerged today.
Sonia Hernandez invented her bizarre tale in order to protect the lesbian relationship of her daughter Paloma Espinoza, according to California police.
Ms Espinoza wanted to pretend the baby girl was not hers in order to prevent her girlfriend from finding out she had an affair.
The 28-year-old claimed she did not know she was pregnant before she gave birth at her home in Long Beach.
